Former state Sen. Avel Gordly joined a broad cross-section of Portland groups and political leaders Saturday for a rally at Pioneer Courthouse Square, downtown, calling for public involvement in the Independent Police Review Committee and for the opening of police union contract talks. The Albina Ministerial Alliance Coalition of Justice and Police Reform sponsored the event.
