Roy, Aldridge Make Top 50

Portland Trail Blazers Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge have been named to Sporting News’ Top 50 NBA Players list. Roy was listed at No. 17, while Aldridge came in at No. 39.

Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant is No. 1. Chosen by a panel of 76 current and former players, coaches and general managers, the 32-year-old was a definitive choice, receiving 49 first-place votes and topping Miami Heat small forward LeBron James, who received 22.
Rounding out the top 10 are: 3. Miami Heat SG Dwyane Wade; 4. Oklahoma City Thunder SF Kevin Durant; 5. Orlando Magic C Dwight Howard; 6. Denver Nuggets SF Carmelo Anthony; 7. Dallas Mavericks SF Dirk Nowitzki; 8. Utah Jazz PG Deron Williams; 9. Phoenix Suns PG Steve Nash; 10. Los Angeles Lakers PF Pau Gasol.

The Celtics placed the most players on the list with five, while the Bulls, Hawks, Heat, Lakers and Spurs all had three.
