Over a month has passed since 14-year-old Yashanee Vaughn was reported missing and believed murdered on March 19; and efforts continue throughout the community to find the girl’s body and understand the truth behind her disappearance.
In honor of her life, Vaughn’s family and friends will hold a Gospel celebration as a way to bring the community together for a night of healing and performance.
Rev. J.W. Friday will be the host of the event, which will be held at the Maranatha Church of God in Northeast Portland on Friday, May 6 and will begin at 6:30 p.m.
