In an effort to ensure Esther Short Park retains its beauty, the Parks Foundation encourages Community members to imprint Propstra Square with the purchase of a memorial brick inscription, which will be located around the bell tower in Propstra Square.
The order deadline is coming up this week on July 15 to purchase an engraved brick, which according to the Parks Foundation, provide an excellent opportunity to commemorate a loved one or friend.
The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Vancouver and Clark County was established in 1999 to accept and administer donations, gifts and bequests for the enrichment and enhancement of our communities’ parks, trails, and recreational programs.
Funds raised through the sale of memorial bricks pay for the flowers and plantings in Esther Short Park.
Each brick is just $100 and holds up to 18 characters including spaces. Summer 2011 inscription date is tentatively set for the week of July 25, 2011.
For more information, and to place your order, contact the Parks Foundation at 360-487-8370 or via email to admin@parksfoundation.us.
