Shooting Kills Young Man

A young African-American man was killed this weekend in one of three suspected gang-related shootings.

Deondrae Clark, 25, died on Monday after being shot late Friday at North Haight Avenue and Emerson Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found Clark on the ground surrounded by a large group.

On Saturday, Oct. 22, police responded to the second shooting at 15th and Northeast Killingsworth, where they found evidence of multiple shots, which had been fired at a TriMet bus shelter. No injuries were reported.

In the third incident on Sunday morning, a car was hit with two bullets across the street from the Copper Penny at Southeast Foster Road and 92nd Avenue. The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
