A north Portland cleaning service is helping residents keep their carpets clean this spring.

Founded in 1998, A-1 Oregon, which provides services for  both homes and businesses in the metro area with hardwood, carpet and furniture upkeep, offers a plethora of cleaning services at low affordable prices.

“I do unique cleaning,” said Yenetila Sheseraw, A-1 Oregon founder.

Sheseraw said his services are “like magic” because they can remove any stain, even dark red spots, on any carpet. This is often hard for people to do on their own, he said.

The company, which is located in north Portland, utilizes the hot water extraction, also known as steam cleaning, which is the most effective carpet and upholstery cleaning technique available.

Although the method, recommended by major carpet manufacturers, is most often completed with a large and noisy truck-mounted carpet cleaning machine, those at A-1 Oregon said they leave the invasive noise outside the customer’s home.

According to Sheseraw, cleaning your home and office are important for both the health of the individual and the environment. “And the price is reasonable. Other companies charge you more,” he said.
