The RideAbout shuttle, a free service for seniors and people with disabilities who need a little extra help getting around, is celebrating more than 15 years of service to residents of north and northeast Portland.
As part of the non-profit Ride Connection, the shuttle service works in collaboration with the African American Chamber of Commerce, the Urban League of Portland, TriMet, and others to provide safe reliable transportation.
Direct rides are available to Safeway on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Trips to Trader Joes, Grocery Outlet, Whole Foods and Hollywood Fred Meyer are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.
Other rides can include transportation to Woodburn, Bausman Farms, Al’s Nursery, the Goodwill on Grand, New Cascadia, the new Gluten free Bakery, and other locations.
If you would like to ride on the shuttle, call 503-226-0700.

When my mom was well she was a rider of the ride about. I have heard great stories from her about the service. She loved the drivers. This is a great service. Keep up the great work.
