Michael Paul Massad passed away peacefully on Oct. 10, 2014.
After completing his education in California, he moved to Portland where he was employed by Wilks Restaurant, DePaul Treatment Center, House of Umoja, and St. Philip Neri Church.
Renewing a lifelong dream, he returned to school over the last year to attend Portland Community College and study marine biology.
He was a member of Community Church of God where he served as an usher and choir member and volunteered in anything he could do.
Cherishing his memories are his wife of 28 years Helen Marie Sloan-Massad; daughters Zanetta Massad, Ebony Sloan-Clark, Samone Massad and Lynessa Massad; sons Alexander Massad, Jerome Sloan, Rashaan Sloan, and special “Bud Bud” Christopher Sloan-Washington; and 14 grandchildren.
