There’s still time to see ZooLights, the festival holiday celebration at the Oregon Zoo runs through Jan. 3.

A walk-through winter wonderland of more than 1.6 million colored lights is highlighted by forests of lighted trees, life-size illuminated animal silhouettes, and the light-bedecked zoo train.

This year marks the 28th ZooLights. To help alleviate parking congestion, visitors who take MAX on regular ZooLights nights will receive an additional $5 off general admission with proof of ridership.

“Parking can definitely be challenging on busy nights and the Sunset Transit Center is just one stop up from the zoo,” said Ivan Ratcliff, the zoo’s guest services manager. “I strongly recommend using this option whenever possible.”

Regular ZooLights admission is $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors, $9.95 for children and free for children 2 and under. The hours for Zoolights are 5-9 p.m.
