Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s daughter, Rev. Bernice A. King, comes to Portland this Sunday.
Clergy from Portland’s African American community meet Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in 1961 at Vancouver Avenue First Baptist Church. History will be made again Sunday, Feb. 15 when the late civil rights leader’s youngest daughter, Rev. Bernice A. King, visits the congregation to keynote the church’s annual ‘Empower the Dream’ Drum Major Ecumenical Community Scholarship Service.
