5/19/2015, 4:49 p.m.
One of the largest multicultural community events in the Pacific Northwest needs your help. The Good in the Hood festival is putting out a call for volunteers for this year’s celebration, which is scheduled to take place the weekend of June 26-28 at the Lillis Albina Park on the corner of North Russell and Flint Street.
Good in the Hood is a non-profit organization founded in 1990. Their purpose is to be a creative medium by which Portland residents, businesses and organizations can enjoy music, food and resources while connecting people with experiences that strengthen unity in the community.
Volunteers are integral to the festival’s success and are needed for various roles, including the check-in and information booth, the beer garden, the kids space and the Good in the Hood parade. Other positions include sanitation crew members, security teams, and event set up and break down crews. Anyone interested in encouraged to call 971-302-6380, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the website goodinthehood.org.
