‘Paris is Burning,’ a landmark 1991 film showcasing the golden age of vogueing and drag ball culture in New York City through the experiences of people of color in the late 80s and early 90s, will screen on Friday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. at the Portland Arts Museum. The newly restored version of the documentary is presented thanks to the Northwest Film Center and a Nov. 19-21 series of films presented as part of a national Association of Moving Image Archivists conference.
