10/21/2015, 12:53 p.m.
Kenyan born singer and songwriter Naomi Wachira will perform a solo acoustic show at the Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro on Friday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now for $14 in advance and $18 day of show and are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com or through the Walters box office.
Lauded as “Best Folk Singer” in Seattle by Seattle Weekly, and recently returning from a whirlwind tour of the US, Europe and Africa, Wachira will share an evening of songs and stories with a passionate voice – and a brilliant musical talent.
Always knowing she wanted to be a singer, Wachira grew up singing with her parents. Her family moved from Kenya to Chicago where she spent 11 years. She then moved to the Northwest to attend the Seattle School of Theology + Psychology.
