Two Eras, Two Legends
Posted on November 3, 2010 | 1 CommentSports legends Maurice Lucas and Artie Wilson, who both called Portland home, passed away Sunday. Lucas, 58, was the fierce power forward known as "The Enforcer" who helped lead the Portland Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA title, had bladder cancer. Wilson, 90, a long-time Portland resident, was a legend of the Negro American and Pacific Coast Leagues, including the Portland Beavers.
