Long-time Portland resident and Portland State University Black Studies alum Charlotte Rutherford and Cris Paschild, head of Special Collections at Portland State University, will give a special presentation on the history of Portland's black community through personal recollections and the Rutherford family collection housed at PSU's library .

Anyone interested in learning about this valuable collection and hearing more about Portland’s black history is encouraged to attend. The event takes place Tuesday, Feb. 26 from noon to 1:30 p.m. in PSU’s Millar Library, room 106.
