Opera in the park presents RIGOLETTO as its 21st annual concert at 6pm on August 13th in the Washington Park Rose Garden Amphitheater. This year’s stars include acclaimed baritone Luis Ledesma in the title role; soprano Aubry Ballaro in her Oregon debut as Rigoletto’s innocent daughter “Gilda;” and dashing Mexican tenor Cesar Delgado as the unforgettable “Duke of Mantua.” Other principal artists include bass-baritone Deandre Simmons, whom many will remember from last season’s production of AÏDA; Portland favorites Richard Zeller, Hannah Penn, and Jocelyn Claire Thomas; and the Opera in the park Portland chorus and orchestra. Artistic Director Keith Clark, winner of the prestigious American Prize for Opera Conducting, leads the production.
