Calendar Alert: Rose Festival Schedule 2024

Portland, Ore. – The Portland Rose Festival announces its 2024 schedule, celebrating everything we love about Portland and the Pacific Northwest. This year’s theme of Dream Forward asks every attendee to share their dream for Portland with the Rose Festival. We know great work is being done by incredible individuals and organizations all around this city and region. The Festival is excited to showcase many of these artists, community groups, cultural institutions, businesses, crafters, brewers, and more! Included below are key events with dates and times. Event Schedule


May 18th – Junior Parade Float Building Workshop presented by PDX Parent

·         10am-1pm, Rose Festival Float Barn, Registration is required


May 24th - Opening Night Fireworks

·         CityFair opens at 5pm, fireworks at 9:50pm – viewable within CityFair and Portland Waterfront


May 24 -27th - CityFair Opening Weekend and a Celebration of Oregon Brewers Festival

·         Hours: Fri 5-10pm, Sa 12-10pm, Su 12-9pm, Mo 12-9pm

·         Tom McCall Waterfront Park


May 26-June 9 – Rose Festival Treasure Hunt

  • 7am clue announcements by the Festival on their website


May 30 – Rose Festival Wine Walk

  • 5pm, Downtown Portland


May 31 -June 2 – CityFair and a Celebration of Oregon Brewers Festival

  • Hours: Fri 4-10pm, Sa 12-10pm, Su 12-9pm

  • Tom McCall Waterfront Park


May 31 -June 2 - Starry Nights Small Business Event

  • All day, Downtown Portland


June 1 – Starlight Run

  • 6:30pm, Downtown Waterfront, Registration required


  • 8-10pm, Downtown Portland


  • 1-3pm, Hollywood District


June 5-9 – Fleet Week

  • Downtown Waterfront and Japanese Memorial Plaza


June 6 -7 – Portland Rose Society Annual Spring Rose Show


June 6-27 Oregon Society of Artists, Rose Festival Art Show


June 7 – Royal Rosarians Honorary Knighting Ceremony

  • 8:30am, Oregon Square


June 7 – Queen’s Coronation presented by Unitus Community Credit Union

  • 11am, Oregon Square


June 7-9 – CityFair and a Celebration of Oregon Brewers Festival

  • Hours: Fri 4-10pm, Sa 12-10pm, Su 12-9pm

  • Tom McCall Waterfront Park


  • 10am-12pm, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Rose Quarter, and Lloyd District


June 8-9 – Grand Floral Parade Showcase presented by OMSI

  • All day, Portland Waterfront


June 8-9 – Rose Festival Dragon Boat Race

  • 8am–5pm, Portland Waterfront


June 23 – Royal Rosarian Milk Carton Boat Race presented by Alpenrose

  • The Casting Pond in Westmoreland Park
