Concert to benefit healthcare for all of Oregon
Soul Queens and Blue Kings to play the "Making it Real" Healthcare Benefit Concert
This very special showcase will celebrate icons of Soul and Blues that helped shape the history of Music. It will be an All Star Concert for the local Universal Healthcare campaign; Health Care for All Oregon and the next steps towards making it real, as healthcare is a human right! The concert will take place Sunday May 7th starting at 4:30pm ending at 7:30pm at the Aladdin Theatre, 3017 SE Milwaukie Ave. Portland, OR 97202.
Norman “Boogie Cat” Sylvester bring together some of this regions’ finest Rhythm & Blues favorites; LaRhonda Steele, Lenanne Sylvester-Miller, Myrtle Brown, Sarah Billings, Jay “Bird” Coder, Ben Rice, Tevis Hodge Jr., Renato Caranto, Kim Field & Narrator Lynn Darroch. This will be an amazing night of paying tribute to Soul Queens like; Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Etta James & Blues Kings like; Muddy Waters, BB King, Otis Rush and many more pioneers. Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $30 at the door.
